Multi-platform design.

I create digital experiences across multiple platform environments spanning OTT, desktop, tablet, mobile and native apps.

With a core understanding of mobile-first design, I believe every platform can be optimised yet still be innovative, pushing dev teams to apply that extra level of polish. Big advocator for design systems, guidelines and creating robust, reusable components to better designers efficiency and reducing those inconsistencies.

User experience.

I believe it is necessary to understand the user's needs and in turn solve complex design problems with simple solutions. I also understand design perfection is unknowable as we will need to constantly be testing, re-iterating, prototyping and then testing again.

Tools.

I have a strong passion for grids, optimisation and technically structured design. I am open-minded and willing to try more efficient tools for better streamlining. Within smaller companies, I’ve had opportunity to use other tools outside the UI / UX arena such as CMS, web analytics and email creation tools, whilst also staying abreast of HTML / CSS / JavaScript frameworks and modern browser capabilities.

Brands.

I’ve been given the opportunity to work alongside talented people in the industry at large international brands, as well as some exciting start-ups. Exposure to these brands, design systems and style guides has allowed me to contribute, expand or amplify the brand’s personality.
