Hired as a UI/UX designer to manage the overall user interface and user experience of the digital products. Their goal was to improve inefficiencies in the way collision management and insurance claims are handled after a road collision.

A SPECIAL thanks to Geoff Leeks (Chief Operating Officer) and Aiden Dunne (Head of Research & Development), who without them I would have been lost :-)

The task was to review their existing app , site experience, emails, print works and device management service, and provide a solid visual identity to unite them. Identifying design and experience issues and providing quick solutions / improvements wherever possible in a short space of time.

I started collaborating with the founders and head of product, conducting competitive benchmarking and analysing other popular connected car brands, looking for patterns and best practices.
Using the existing brand colour as base, I expanded the colour scheme by experimenting with combinations that harmonise with one another.
03
Encouraged to opt colours, themes and illustrations that present a sense of well-being, support, calmness and safety, as it was thought customers would engage more with the products after a collision.
04
Once the visual identity had been agreed upon, it was then injected and tested on various products such as email, booklet and site. Any design issues that arose could be altered and then tested again on others, to see if the new proposed solution worked.
05
Larger design considerations had to be made for axicloud – connected crash management platform for insurers. The considerations were made specially to make the experience easier for users, so data consumption was far more legible, visually lighter and easily accessible.
06
A fast-moving environment with short timespans for delivery provided a few restrictions, and made it difficult to propose wider changes to the experience.
Instead, quicker solutions were adopted, with the intention to apply some of these improved changes in the future. Hopefully after going live, insight, data and user feedback would improve the product journey.
A start-up that provides collision management solutions for connected car organisations, enabling businesses to take control of their customer's insurance claims.
